Simple Gateway InstallThe fist set of instructions are for Windows users only. If you would like to install on a Mac, please use the second set of instructions below. Windows Users Go to Remote_Access-windows32-offline.exe Press the Run button in the download box Press the Run button in the security warning box If you receive a warning from your security software, tell it to allow the install If you receive a warning from your firewall, tell it to Unblock A small SimpleHelp window will be displayed while the software installs A Remote Access Service window will then be displayed Towards the bottom of the Remote Access Service window, you will see the text 'This remote access service is not running'. Press the Start button just to the right of this text Click the Save button Click the Close button The software is now installed and configured, and will run in the background, allowing us to connect to your computer upon request
Mac Users Go to Remote_Access_macos.dmg Check your download folder for a file called Remote_Access_macos.dmg, and double click on it to open it Open a Finder window At the bottom, under Devices, you should see an item called Access, which you should click A Simple Help window will now be visible, with a Remote Access icon, and an arrow pointing to the Applications folder Drag the Remote Access icon into the Applications folder Open the Applications folder Double click on Remote Access, and the Remote Access Service configuration window will open Towards the bottom of the Remote Access Service window, you will see the text 'This remote access service is not running'. Press the Start button just to the right of this text You will be prompted for your Mac password, so type it in and press OK Click the Save button Click the Close button The software is now installed and configured, and will run in the background, allowing us to connect to your computer upon request
