Configuring Windows Live Mail (POP3)

To use your new mailbox, you will need to configure your email client. The basic information that you will require to do this is as follows :-

Usernameyourname@yourdomain.com
Passwordsupplied initially by us, but can be changed by you
Incoming Mail Servermail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing Mail Servermail.yourdomain.com

If you are using Windows Live Mail, you may find the following step by step instructions of use.

  1. Open Windows Live Mail
  2. Click 'Accounts' (on the toolbar)
  3. Click the 'Email' button
  4. Enter your email address yourname@yourdomain.com in the 'E-mail address' box
  5. Enter your password in the 'Password' box and ensure the 'Remember this password' box is ticked
  6. Enter your Display Name in the box provided, in the form that you would like the recipients of your mails to see, and then click 'Next'
  7. In the Incoming server information (on the left side) Select the 'Server Type' as 'POP'
  8. Then enter the Incoming Mail Server as shown in the table above in the 'Server address' box (still on left side)
  9. Then enter your email address yourname@yourdomain.com in the 'Logon user name' box (still on the left side)
  10. In the Outgoing server information (on the right side) Enter the Outgoing Mail Server as shown in the table above in the 'Server address' box
  11. Tick the 'Requires authentication' box (still on right side)
  12. Click 'Next' and then 'Finish'
