Configuring Outlook 2007 (POP3)Please enter your email address details here and press the 'Personalise' button, so that the instructions can be tailored for you. If you are using Outlook 2007, you may find the following step by step instructions of use. - Open Outlook
- Click 'Tools' (on the toolbar), then 'Account Settings' (from the subsequent drop down menu)
- Click the 'New...' button in the Account Settings window
- Select the radio button for 'Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP' and press 'Next'
- Check the box labelled 'Manually configure server settings...' and press 'Next' button
- Select the 'Internet E-mail' radio button and press 'Next'
- Enter your name in the 'Your Name' box provided, in the form that you would like the recipients of your mails to see
- Enter your email address yourname@yourdomain.com in the 'E-mail Address' box
- Select 'POP3' in the account type drop down menu
- Enter the Incoming Mail Server as shown in the table above in the 'Incoming mail server' box
- Enter the Outgoing Mail Server as shown in the table above in the 'Outgoing mail server (SMTP)' box
- Enter your email address (yourname@yourdomain.com) in the 'User Name' box
- Enter your password in the 'Password' box
- Ensure that the 'Remember my password' box is ticked
- Press the 'More Settings...' button, and go to the Outgoing Server tab. Tick the box which says 'My Outgoing Server (SMTP) Requires Authentication', and then click 'OK'.
- Click 'Next' and then 'Finish'
